This recombinant Rabies virus G Protein, expressed in E. coli, is the Rabies virus’ main surface protein. It enables the virus to bind to host receptors and fuse with cell membranes, allowing viral entry and spread in the nervous system. It also triggers the release of virus-neutralizing antibodies. The biotinylation facilitates the purification of the protein, detection and immobilization for functional studies. This recombinant protein can be used for serological assays, vaccine studies, structural analysis and drug screening.
