Human Aldehyde Oxidase 1 (AOX1) recombinant protein, expressed in HEK293 cells and carrying a C-Myc/DDK tag. The product is supplied at 20 µg with a predicted molecular weight of 147.7 kDa and purity greater than 80%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining.
Aldehyde oxidase generates hydrogen peroxide and, under certain conditions, may also catalyze the formation of superoxide. It is considered a candidate gene associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Recombinant protein was captured through an anti-DDK affinity column followed by conventional chromatography steps. For testing in cell culture applications, filter before use; some protein loss may occur during filtration.
Buffer: 25 mM Tris-HCl, 100 mM glycine, pH 7.3, 10% glycerol.
Storage: Store at -80°C. Stable for 12 months from the date of receipt under proper storage and handling conditions. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Clone: RC219221 representing NM_001159. The following sequence is reproduced from the supplied datasheet (the original PDF identifies cloning-site and tag residues by color).
