Recombinant Malaysia strain Nipah virus Glycoprotein (partial, biotinylated)
Product Overview Details Product Name Recombinant Malaysia strain Nipah virus Glycoprotein (partial, biotinylated) Catalogue Number 2570017 (20 µg) / 2570018 (100 µg) Species Henipavirus nipahense Background This recombinant Malaysia strain glycoprotein (G) of Henipavirus nipahense, expressed in E. coli, corresponds to the viral attachment glycoprotein encoded by the G gene. The G glycoprotein mediates high-affinity binding to host ephrin-B2 and ephrin-B3 receptors, initiating virus attachment, which is a necessary step preceding activation of the fusion (F) glycoprotein and membrane fusion. As an essential surface antigen, G is a primary target of neutralizing antibody responses. This recombinant protein can be used for serological diagnostics, epitope mapping, monoclonal antibody development, vaccine and immunogenicity studies, receptor-binding assays, and structural and functional characterization of Nipah virus glycoproteins. UniProt ID E2II03 Purity >85% as determined by SDS-PAGE Target Sequence Refer datasheet Stability & Storage For long-term preservation, the product should be maintained in a lyophilized form at temperatures between −20 °C and −80 °C. To ensure optimal stability, the protein should be aliquoted prior to storage. Once reconstituted, the protein solution may be stored at 2–8 °C for up to 2–7 days. Repeated freeze–thaw cycles should be avoided. Reconstitution The protein may be reconstituted in sterile water to prepare a stock solution. Non-biotinylated form of this glycoprotein is also available
